March is Reading Month

In recognition of that event, 20 Michigan authors will sign their books at both Art-is-in Market stores to share the joy of reading with children and adults.

Fifteen per cent of the proceeds from book sales will benefit the non-profit group Art Road which is the only 501c3 nonprofit in Michigan actively working to bring art classes back into schools. Their goal in 2011 is to bring art classes to 1,000 students.  To achieve that goal in time for the start the 2011-12 school year they need to raise $231,000 by July 31, 2011.
